Mounties Investigating Alleged Attempted Sexual Assault

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George RCMP is investigating an alleged attempted sexual assault.

Police say the incident is believed to have taken place during the evening hours of December 3 near the 200 block of Ruggles Street.

“The victim, a female under the age of 18, was walking alone in the area when an unknown male approached her and pushed her down from behind,” says Cpl. Craig Douglass. “The victim was able to get free and run away.”

Police describe the suspect as:

• Dark skinned, possibly of African descent
• 20 to 30 years old
• Six feet tall
• Medium build
• Very little or no hair 
• Wearing a grey sweater, jeans and a toque
