Dawson Creek Gets 2019 International Hockey Tournament

Big news for Dawson Creek today as Hockey Canada announced the city will be the location of the 2019 World Junior A Challenge. The tournament, which is currently underway in Bonnyville, Alberta will make its way to the Encana Events Centre this time next year. It’s the fourth time a BC city has hosted the tournament and comes after Dawson welcomed both Canada’s National Women’s Team Fall Festival last summer and the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in 2015 and 2017.
