Early Morning Fatal Collision Near Taylor

DAWSON CREEK – UPDATE: Highway 97 has been reopened between 228 Road and Pingel Creek Road near Taylor.
ORIGINAL: RCMP responded to a fatal head-on car collision early Thursday morning. It happened on Highway 97 near Taylor at around 7:30 am.
The collision involved a semi and pickup truck. Police say the driver of the pickup died at the scene.
The road remains closed while the collision remains under investigation. A detour has been set up for heavy traffic being rerouted to Braden Road.
