PRINCE GEORGE – Residents in Prince George and Northern BC are waking up to a world of white today.

Environment Canada says 35 cm of snow, measured at the Prince George Airport, has fallen since Friday morning. The city may see a few more centimetres fall tonight and within the next few days, the forecast is predicting a mix of showers and/or flurries.

The wind will also be a factor blowing the snow around at roughly 50 km/h today and tomorrow.

The City of Prince George’s snow and ice control crews are out in full force dealing with last nights heavy snowfall. First on their list will be priority routes and sidewalks.
