PRINCE GEORGE – Inside the Angel of the Winds Area, the Prince George Cougars took their first loss following their Christmas break. They dropped the game 6-1 to the Everett Silvertips on Saturday.

It wasn’t until the second period that Ryan Schoettler scored the one and only goal of the game for the Cougars and by that point, the Silvertips had already scored four times.

Before the game came to a close, Everett put two more in the back of the Cougars net to give the game a final score of 6-1. It was Isaiah DiLaura who suffered the loss in net, stopping 30 of 36 shots.

The Silvertips sit as the top team in the Western Conference, this game was their fourth straight win and they haven’t lost in regulation in 16 consecutive games.
