Operation Red Nose Is Ready For New Year’s Eve

PRINCE GEORGE – Operation Red Nose will be in full force tonight making sure those ringing in the New Year get home safely. 25 teams will be out between 9 pm and 4 am providing rides within city limits. 

So far after 8 nights of service, Operation Red Nose has provided 802 safe rides in 2018 with the help of 200 volunteers. New Year’s tends to be their craziest night of the year and drivers say their busiest time falls between midnight and 4 am when the wait can be nearly 2 hours. 

“Obviously we will drive according to the road conditions whether the streets haven’t been cleared or if it’s snowing or whatever but we do take our time and we will drive with care according to the weather conditions and the road conditions,” says Red Nose spokesperson Andrea Johnson. “We will take our time but please be patient with us, we’ll do our best.”
