PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Sports Hall of Fame released its list of inductees for the year. The Hall of Fame holds an induction ceremony every two years, but it had to push this year’s back by a year to allow for more nominations. The Hall of Fame had a total of 16 nominations for the past three years and the three inductees will raise the total number of members to 78.

One of this year’s inductees is Cliff Hucul, a former USAC and CART Championship Series racing driver. Hucul is also one of a select few Canadians who has made a start at the Indianapolis 500, one of auto racing’s most prestigious events.

Another inductee is Elisha Williams, a Paralympic wheelchair basketball player who won a silver medal in both the 2007 and 2011 Paralympic Games.

The third inductee is Brian Martinson, who has been involved in track and field in Prince George for several years.
