Head-on Crash Claims Life On Highway 16

PRINCE GEORGE – One person is dead following a four-vehicle collision on Highway 16.

According to RCMP at around 6 p.m. last night (Jan. 14) they responded to a collision near Shanley Road, approximately 10 kilometres east of Vanderhoof, BC.

When police arrived they discovered that an eastbound SUV crossed the centre line and collided head-on with a westbound loaded fuel tanker truck and two other vehicles following behind the tanker truck.

The female driver of the SUV died at the scene while everyone else involved suffered only minor injuries.
