PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George Animal Rescue is known as the place were unwanted horses are sheltered.

The 160-acre farm is changing the way animal rescue shelters take care of unwanted domestic animals. Owner  Nichola Redpath allows the dogs to run free on the 160-acre farm.

According to Redpath, the shelter is the only free-roaming shelter in Northern BC. Prince George Animal Rescue is a volunteer-based organization.

Each day some volunteers are tasked with brushing and walking horses, dogs and other domestic animals. All the animals are given aggressive assessments before its accepted into the rescue.
