Stop Gaps Needed Downtown For Games

PRINCE GEORGE – In the lead up to the World Para Nordic Skiing Championships, the Handy Circle Society is hoping some volunteers can step up and help build more “pop-up” ramps.
They are wooden ramps that can be built for a business to provide access to their establishments.
The Step Up ramps first came to Prince George with the Canada Winter Games and primarily targeted downtown businesses.
The Society says there are about five still being used in the downtown but Ken Biron says it would hope every business would want to be accessible, especially with the Para Nordic Games coming in less than a months.
But they need to be built and the Society is looking for help on that front, both with labour and materials.
If you are able to volunteer either, call 250-563-1852 or email at hcrspg@gmail.com
