Cougars Gauthier, Moberg Listed In NHL Central Scouting

PRINCE GEORGE – Despite struggles this season, two Cougars have been listed by NHL Central Scouting in its midterm rankings as potential prospects for the upcoming NHL Entry Draft.

Gauthier has had a strong season for the Cats this year. The 17-year-old has played in 35 games and sports a 12-17-2-1 record, to go along with 3.04 goals against average and a .904 save percentage. Gauthier is currently ranked fifth among North American goalies and second among his fellow WHL netminders.

Moberg is ranked 175th among North American Skaters and is having a strong season, setting a career high in goals and points, with nine and 24 respectively. Moberg is in his second year with the Cougs, and doubled his production from last year and is fourth in team scoring this season.

Both players are among only 45 WHL players ranked by NHL Central Scouting this season.
