The midseason mark in the numerous junior hockey leagues in North America means another installment of NHL Central Scouting prospect ratings leading into the NHL Draft this year. Good news for local hockey fans is that three Prince George players appear on the list. On the goaltending side, it should come as no surprise that Cougars goalie Taylor Gauthier is ranked high. The Calgary-born tender currently sits at fifth among North American goalies and second across WHL tenders. Cougars defenseman Cole Moberg is also on the list, sitting at 175th among North American skaters. Moberg has set career-best numbers this season with nine goals and fifteen assists. The two Cougars are also joined by Spruce Kings defenseman Layton Ahac. The North Vancouver boy is ranked 114th on the skaters list after posting 20 assists in 40 games in the BCHL.
