PRINCE GEORGE – Despite a strong effort, the Cougars fell victim to the second overtime loss in as many games.

Both teams started the game defensively, with neither team getting many shots on target. The Cougars would break the stalemate 18 minutes into the first as Ilijah Colina would rip home a one-timer from the slot for his 8th of the year.

The Cats would open the scoring early in the second period when Vladislav Mikhalchuk scooped up a loose puck and buried his 16th of the year. The Warriors would respond shortly after when Tristan Langan snuck a point shot past Isaiah DiLaura, cutting the lead in half.

The Warriors kept coming in the third period and Canucks’ prospect Jett Woo would rip home a point shot to tie the game up. The Cougars were unable to regain the lead despite outshooting the Warriors 8-3 in the period.
