Gauthier Ready To Backstop Against CHL’s Best

His absence may have been felt by the Cougars Tuesday night, but Taylor Gauthier’s experience this week is one he won’t soon forget. The Calgary-boy is in Red Deer preparing for the CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game. The goalie is one of four goaltenders tasked with stopping 19 of the top 31 NHL draft prospects from NHL Central Scouting’s midseason rankings. Coaching the teams will be former NHL goalie Kelly Hrudey for Team Orr and “Hockey Night in Canada” host, Ron MacLean, for Team Cherry. Gauthier suits up for MacLean tonight at 7 tonight.
