Coldsnap 2019 preview

PRINCE GEORGE — Local and international musicians are in town for the 12th Coldsnap Music Festival.

The cultural event features 30 artists and eight mainstage productions around Prince George over the next week.

Dwight Wolfe, Media Relations Manager, said the Lheidli Men’s Drumming Group will kick off the festival. Other PG and Burns Lake artists will be highlighted throughout the event, as well as talents from as far as Montreal and New York City.

“The two regional showcases that are happening next week at the Legion are both focused on regional and local artists,” Wolfe explained. “There will be four different artists each night and they represent different musicians in the Prince George region and also out to Burns Lakes and places like that.”

Earlier, the Prince George Folkfest Society received $15,000 through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund for Coldsnap.
