The Prince George Cougars dropped a 4-1 decision last night in Calgary. The loss extended the Cougars losing streak to five games. The Cougars opened the scoring late in the first despite being heavily outshot 18-8, with a goal by Tyson Upper, his third of the season. However, that was all the scoring the Cougars could manage last night.

Luke Coleman, James Malm, Mark Kastelic and Cael Zimmerman had the goals for Calgary. Taylor Gauthier stopped 45 of the 49 shots he faced for the Cougars while Hitmen netminder Jack McNaughton turned away 35 of the 36 shots he faced.

The Cougars will look to end the skid tonight against Red Deer before facing off with the Edmonton Oil Kings tomorrow for their final game of January.
