Spruce Kings Earn 4-3 Shootout Win Over Coquitlam

The Prince George Spruce Kings are back in the win column after a 4-3 shootout win against the Coquitlam Express last night. The Kings got out to a fast start outshooting the Express 15-4 after one period taking a 2-1 lead into the second with goals by Dustin Manz and Patrick Cozzi.

Manz second of the game put the Kings up 3-1 lead after two periods. Coquitlam tied the game in the third with Dallas Farrell and Jordan Schulting scoring their 15th and third goals of the season respectively.

After overtime solved nothing, a shootout was needed. Nick Bochen had the only goal in the shootout to lead the Kings past the Express 4-3.

The Kings and Express face off again tonight at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena at 7 p.m. in the final game of January for both teams.
