The Prince George Cougars losing streak now stands at six games after a 5-1 defeat at the hands of the Red Deer Rebels last night.

The Cougars couldn’t muster up much scoring again with the lone goal scored unassisted by Josh Curtis, his eighth of the year. Brandon Hagel had two goals for the Rebels to reach the 30 goal mark on the year while Arshdeep Bains, Cameron Hausinger and Brett Davis tallied the other three goals for the Rebels.

The Cougars have only scored nine times on this six-game losing streak and their powerplay is dead last in the WHL at 14.4 per cent. The Cougars record in January is now 4-5-2 in 11 games.

The Cougars will look to end the skid this afternoon at Rogers Place in Edmonton against the Oil Kings.
