While being the third one on the dance floor is pretty impressive, being third place in a floor hockey tournament I’d say is even more impressive. That’s exactly what the Prince George Special Olympics Floor Hockey team did this past weekend. After testing their skills against the Cougars earlier this winter, the team travelled to Abbotsford last week to take part in a Special Olympics floor hockey tournament. There were teams from throughout BC for the Special Olympics Cougars to compete against, in what was their first tournament of the season. Despite starting the weekend with a few losses, they gained confidence as they played and ended up winning the last 3 games, giving them a third place finish. They scored a total of 44 goals in the tournament.
