PRINCE GEORGE- A local community association is aiming to light up a dark area in the city. A petition was started last year by the South Bowl Community Association to fund a light for the Ginters dog park.

Safety, use of the park and wildlife in the area are three of the main reasons the petition was started. To date, roughly 140 signatures have been signed on the paper copy of the petition. A petition started online just last week has gotten over 400 signatures.

The association hopes to bring the petition in front of the city council at an upcoming council meeting. The association says the light would ideally be funded by contributions from both the city and the South Bowl Community.
