The Spruce Kings took care of business this weekend winning both games against the Surrey Eagles. The Kings followed up a 5-0 win on Friday with a 3-1 win last night.

Despite the score, the Kings outshot the Eagles 42-11, including 16-1 after the first period. Patrick Cozzi, Tyler Schleppe and Layton Ahac scored the goals for the Kings while Cole Edgerton scored the lone goal for the Eagles.

Keenan Rancier stopped 10 of the 11 shots he faced while Cayden Bailey made 39 saves on 42 shots for the Eagles.

Even with the win the Kings still trail the Chilliwack Chiefs by seven points for first place in the Mainland division. The Kings will now head out on a four-game road trip starting Monday night in Langley.
