The UNBC Timberwolves basketball teams wrapped up the regular season schedule at home last night against the Lethbridge Pronghorns. It was a reversal of fortunes for the teams as the men lost after a win Friday and the women won after a loss Friday.

It was seniors night for the men and the result was one they would like to forget. The Pronghorns dominated the Timberwolves 106-68 to finish the season 12-8 and drop the Timberwolves record to 9-11.  The loss wrapped up the final game of the season for the men and they will have to regroup quickly as they will travel to Fraser Valley Thursday to take on the Cascades in a single elimination play-in round game.

The women’s game was much closer than the men’s that saw the two teams go back and forth throughout the game before the Timberwolves pulled away and won 79-76. The win secured the first-ever winning season in the team’s Canada West history with an 11-9 record.

The women will now travel to Trinity Western to take on the Spartans on Friday in a single elimination play-in round game.
