PRINCE GEORGE- The 34th FrancoFUN Festival got underway last Friday and the event runs until February 10th. The FrancoFUN Festival promotes all that the French culture has to offer here in Prince George through a variety of events across the 10-day festival.

The Prince George French Canadian Association puts on the event that features something new every day free of charge. One of the events that took place over the weekend was the opening night of the art exhibit that featured works by local artists.

There were also a couple of live musicians to add to the event. The art will be on display at the Prince George airport for the next month so people can still view the pieces if they missed the opportunity.

There will be free skating Monday at the ice oval with the first 50 people receiving a free maple treat as well as a screening of La Bolduc, a biopic of a Quebec singer from 1930 on Tuesday.  The event will come to an end on February 10th at the Downtown Winterfest.
