More charges for those involved in alleged drug trafficking

SURREY – More charges have been approved against 36 individuals connected to an alleged drug trafficking investigation in the Peace Region.

Amongst the accused, 21 have either been found guilty or pleaded guilty, six accused are still to be sentenced, five accused were either found not guilty or a stay of proceedings was entered on their charges, six accused are awaiting trial or waiting for trial continuation and about 4300 days of jail time has been handed out to the 15 accused that have already received their sentence.

Four of the accused still have outstanding warrants including 28-year-old, Alena Wallace, 39-year-old Paul Del Grosso, 23-year-old Danick Leger and 27-year-old Jamie Cormier.

The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of BC is asking anyone who has information or knows the whereabouts of these individuals to contact local police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Investigators conducted five search warrants during this investigation, seizing over $57,000 in cash and a number of illegal drugs including cocaine, crystal methamphetamine and fentanyl. They also seized a number of weapons including a loaded 12 gauge shotgun and an AR15 assault-style rifle.
