PRINCE GEORGE – Two Prince George structures are being recognized for their use of wood in their design.

The Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park Pavillion and Wood Innovation Research Lab have both been recognized in different categories by Wood Works! BC. The buildings will be up against other designs from across Canada as well as various countries around the world.

The Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park Pavillion is in the Small Institutional Wood Design Category.

The WIRL is nominated under the environmental performance category due to its passive house design, which uses 70 percent less energy than a standard building.
