PRINCE GEORGE – An air quality advisory has been issued for the area due to fine particulate matter and poor air dispersion.

The advisory was issued by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy in collaboration with Northern Health.

Over the last 24 hours, both Prince George and Vanderhoof had slightly more pm2.5 than the provincial objective.

Exposure to fine particulate matter is a concern for infants, the elderly and those who have diabetes, and lung or heart disease.
