Opening ceremonies will be moved indoors Friday

PRINCE GEORGE – For everyone planning to attend the opening ceremonies for the 2019 World Para Nordic Skiing Championships on Friday, you won’t be viewing it outside in the cold.

It’ll be moved indoors at the Prince George Convention and Civic Centre and rescheduled to 7 pm.

The program will kick off unchanged despite the time change. The parade of athletes, Canadian anthem will be sung by Kelsey Jewesson, opening greetings from dignitaries, traditional greetings from Lheidli T’enneh First Nation Chief Dominic Frederick, performances by Khast’an Drummers and Judy Russell Enchainement Dance Centre, and the unveiling and live performance of the theme song “Know My Name” by Sage Bialuski.

The opening ceremonies will conclude with fireworks outside in Canada Games Plaza.
