FRASER LAKE – The planning stages for the Fraser Lake Fire Rescue Training centre have started. The goal of the Regional Fire rescue training facility is to create realistic training scenarios.

According to Dave Christie, president of the Fraser Lake Rescue Training Society, live fire in a large building with real smoke and heat can give firefighters a realistic environment.

Some of the funding for the regional fire train centre came with a partnership with neighbouring First Nations communities.

The total price tag for this project is estimated to be around $120 thousand dollars and it’s scheduled to be operational July of this year.
