Cougars fall 4-1 to Royals

The Prince George Cougars have lost another game dropping a 4-1 decision to the Victoria Royals last night at home. The loss was the Cougars 14th in a row and they have not won a game since January 12th where they beat the Kelowna Rockets 4-0.

Williams Lake’s Griffen Outhouse backstopped the Royals to the win turning aside 31 of 32 shots he faced. Tanner Sidaway had two goals for the Royals while Kaid Oliver and Logan Doust had the other two goals.

Josh Curtis had the lone goal for the Cougars, his 12th of the year. Taylor Gauthier stopped 17 of the 21 shots he faced in the loss.

The two teams will square off again tonight at 7 p.m. at the CN Centre before the Cougars welcome the Everett Silvertips on Monday and Tuesday.
