PRINCE GEORGE- Family Day is coming up and there are various free events throughout the city. Play, learn and have a chance to win unique prizes by participating in soccer, wheelchair basketball, basketball, pickleball and free-play stations at the Northern Sport Centre. To register for the free sports stations visit www.engagesportnorth.com or drop in for free.
Exploration Place is also free to the public on Family Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can join Exploration Place in a celebration of Tech-Up, an initiative to support local teachers and students to develop coding and computational thinking skills.
The World Para-Nordic Skiing championships will also be continuing at the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club. Monday will see athletes compete in the cross country skiing sprint races.
