Prince George RCMP investigate home invasion

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George RCMP has arrested three people in connection to a home invasion.

Cpl. Craig Douglass says at approximately 10:45 a.m., police received a report of a possible home invasion in progress on West Austin Road.

“Initial indications were that two adult suspects forced their way into an occupied residence.”

He says police immediately attended the scene and arrested two suspects getting into an awaiting vehicle.

“A male youth occupant of the vehicle was also arrested. A modified firearm was located and seized near the scene. Stolen property, a replica firearm and a small quantity of drugs were also seized during the investigation.”

Douglass says a 19-year-old male, a 27-year-old male and a 17-year-old youth will be held in custody overnight and will appear in court tomorrow.

He says police believe it was a targeted incident between two people known to each other. Four adults were in the home during the home invasion. One received injuries.
