Spruce Kings on brink of first-round playoff sweep

COQUITLAM — The Prince George Spruce Kings are on the brink of sweeping their first-round playoff series.

This after the Kings beat the Coquitlam Express 5-2 on the road last night and taking a 3-0 series lead.

Nick Poisson scored twice, including the game-winner.

Chong Min Lee, Layton Ahac and Liam Watson-Brawn scored the other goals.

Game 4 goes tonight at 7 p.m. in Coquitlam.

If necessary, Game 5 would go Thursday night in Prince George.
