This weekend is a busy one for Cougar teams. The WHL Cats host the Portland Winterhawks tonight and tomorrow, with Don Cherry Jersey night going tonight and Saturday marking the Mega 50/50 Jackpot Night. It'll be a tough few games against the Winterhawks, who have the fifth-best record in the WHL. For another Cougar team, it'll be another playoff tilt this weekend. The BC Minor Midget league Cariboo Cougars advanced through the quarterfinals last weekend thanks to a pair of 5-4 wins over the Greater Vancouver Canadians at home. Now, they've had to hit the road for the semifinals against the second best team in the league in the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds minor midget squad. The two teams met six times this season, with the T-Birds taking all six meetings. They've got their work cut out for them, game 1 goes tonight at 8:30 from Abbotsford.
