Thank a social worker this week…

PRINCE GEORGE-  If you know a social worker, whether it be a friend or a family member, you’re being asked to thank them this week. It’s Social Work Week in BC and it’s made to recognize the impact they have on our communities.  Long-time UHNBC social worker, Sandra Harker, says it can be an exhausting and difficult job at times… and that’s why it’s important to celebrate the achievements they’ve made. A local event yesterday celebrated social workers in our community and handed out the annual Bridget Moran Award. It recognizes the hard work and social justice activism of an individual of the north. This year’s recipient is Chris Wagner.
