43rd PG dance festival underway

The 43rd annual Prince George dance festival is officially underway. It is an adjudicated festival where dancers receive performance feedback, compete for prize money, provincial placements, and scholarships.

This year’s festival runs from March 15-22 over at Vanier Hall. Audience members can enjoy dances in various genres including ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, hip hop, song & dance as well as culturally specific.

There are roughly 500 participants in this year’s festival that features dancers from northern B.C. and the Lower Mainland from the age of six to adults.

The days consist of daytime solo and duo performances, followed by groups at night. Tickets are available at Vanier Hall and are as follows:
