Un-seasonal high temperatures flirting with records

PRINCE GEORGE – With temperatures being unseasonably warm the possibility of breaking some temperature records is very real.

The weather for this week is expected to remain in the high teens, with Friday and Saturday both expected to be 14 degrees and while these temperatures are great for outdoor activities, they are certainly outside the norm.

“We’ve seen a pretty good shift from the cold weather that was carrying into March from February,” said Bobby Sekhon, a meteorologist with Environment Canada. “We’re seeing temperatures soar above seasonal for most parts of the province.”

The warm temperatures have been caused by a warm ridge of high pressure bringing air into the province.
