The Cougars also put pen to paper today with their third-round pick from last year’s WHL Bantam Draft, Ethan Samson. The defenseman was drafted 65th overall in the draft and has just wrapped up his season with the Delta Hockey Academy’s Elite 15 program.  The right-handed defenseman from North Delta was the team’s highest scoring defenceman this year with 24 points in 33 regular season games. Samson added two goals and two assists in the playoffs, where his team lost in the semifinals. Samson is the fourth player to sign a WHL Standard Player Agreement from the Cougars’ 2018 WHL Bantam Draft class.
