Cariboo Cougars season on the line

The Cariboo Cougars season could be over if they do not win tonight against the Vancouver North East Chiefs. The Chiefs beat the Cougars 4-2 last night at Kin 1 in game one of their BCMML semifinal matchup.

The Chiefs got out to a 3-1 lead after the first period with goals from Dylan Ford, Logan Kurki and Dante Berrettoni. Brett Fudger scored the lone goal for the Cougars in the first.

The second period was scoreless before John Herrington got the Cats within one on the power play but that’s as close as the Cougars would get as Quinton Hill added an empty netter to seal the game one victory for the Chiefs.

Puck drop is set for 4:15 p.m. at Kin 1 tonight.
