PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George RCMP says they know the make of the vehicle involved in a series of suspicious incidents involving children.

The vehicle, a newer model white Toyota Tundra with an extended cab and a black tonneau cover, is believed to be the truck involved in three incidents, the latest which occurred on Tuesday, March 19, 2019.

On that day, police say a suspicious male in a truck approached a child walking near North Tabor Boulevard and Ospika Boulevard. The man tried to convince the child to get into his truck but drove away when the child refused.

Cpl. Carmen Kiener notes there are two similar recent incidents that have occurred in Prince George involving a similar looking man driving a similar vehicle.

She says one occurred on Feb. 19 where a man followed a child for several blocks in his truck near Heritage Elementary School. The other incident occurred on Feb. 25 where a man approached a child near Heritage Elementary and attempted to convince the child to get into his vehicle.

The man is described as:

  • White
  • Aged 30-40 years old
  • Short dark hair and a short dark beard with flecks of grey, approximately one inch in length
  • Scar on his right eyebrow
