High spring water runoff affecting Red Bluff sewer system

QUESNEL – According to the Cariboo Regional District, the Red Bluff neighbourhood in Quenel the sewer system is experiencing significantly high flows and are inundating the lift stations and threatening to overflow them. Residents are being asked to re-route sump pumps and reduce water use at peak supper hours. The district is asking residents who have a sump pump in their basement that is discharging into the sewer system, please disconnect and re-route the discharge to your yard. It is anticipated these conditions to continue for the next week at least.
