Spruce Kings sweep Grizzlies with captain's OT winner

VICTORIA — Prince George Spruce Kings captain Ben Poisson scored late in overtime last night to lead his team to a 3-2 win and four-game sweep of their third-round series versus the Victoria Grizzlies.

Liam Watson-Brawn and Layton Ahac had the other Prince George goals before 1051 fans at The Q Centre in Colwood.

Prince George outshot Victoria 44-36 with Logan Neaton in goal for the win.

Prince George will now await the winner of the Wenatchee/Vernon series to see who they will face in the finals.

Vernon currently leads that series, two games to one.
