On Friday, April 5th, 2019 at roughly 4:15 PM, Prince George RCMP received multiple reports of gunshots on the 2200 block of Quince Street in Prince George.

Frontline officers attended the area immediately. An investigation led officers to believe an altercation between two groups of persons known to each other occurred in the alley west of Quince Street.

Bear spray was deployed, followed by multiple gunshots during the altercation. Everyone involved then fled the scene.

One of the four suspects was arrested near-by and the lone adult male victim was located in a black SUV a short time later. The victim was suffering from a single, not life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The incident was a targeted attack between persons known to each other and was associated with the drug trade. Investigators believe that there were people in the immediate area that witnessed this incident.

Police are asking these individuals to come forward and contact police. RCMP are also requesting the public’s help to locate three other male suspects believed to be involved in this shooting.
