3 days after their season came to an abrupt end in a heartbreaking overtime loss, the Cariboo Cougars have something to celebrate.  The team’s head coach Tyler Brough has been named the BC Major Midget League’s Coach of the Year. The Prince George-native coached the team to a 27-8-5 record this season. The campaign also featured two 7-game win streaks and their second straight finals appearance, this year securing the win. Brough’s record since taking over as coach in 2017 is now 57-15-8 after actually posting a better record last season. The former Prince George Cougar has been with the team for 4 seasons now.
