PRINCE GEORGE- It was a successful weekend for the Spruce Kings – who took on the Vernon Vipers in front of two sold-out home crowds. After winning 3-1 on Friday night the Kings were looking for a repeat and they didn’t disappoint. The shots were close but the Kings managed to pull off a 4-1 win. Ben Brar scored the first goal of the game in the first period… and he’s also responsible for an empty-netter in the final 40 seconds of the game. Nick Bochen and Finlay Williams also added points for the Spruce Kings. That was Williams’ first BCHL goal. The Spruce Kings now lead the Fred Page Cup Final series 2-0 and will head to Vernon tomorrow. The bus leaves the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena at noon tomorrow and the team is requesting fans drop by to send them off and show their support.
