Spruce Kings win overtime thriller

VERNON — The Prince George Spruce Kings beat the Vernon Vipers last night 4-3 in overtime to take a commanding 3-0 lead in their Fred Page Cup final series.

Ben Poisson scored 12:07 into overtime to seal the road win before 2268 fans at Kal Tire Place in Vernon.

The Vipers threw all they could at the Kings, outshooting them 47-31, but Prince George still came out on top.

The Spruce Kings go for the series sweep tonight.
