PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue made quick work of a small fire at a local restaurant today (April 21).

Assistant Chief Kevin Scobie says crews responded to the fire in the 3300 block of 8th Avenue at approximately 1:45 p.m.

“A total of 15 firefighters from three halls responded. When crews arrived they found the business owner spraying water on the outside of the structure,” he says. “There was light smoke coming from the side of the building. All patrons were evacuated on arrival.”

Scobie says crews quickly doused the fire and estimates damages to the outside of the building at approximately $2000.
