PRINCE GEORGE— The residents of Prince George donated over 28 banana boxes full of food, as well as $300 in cash and gift cards for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

Last Friday’s (April 19) annual Easter food drive hosted by the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group will help assist the Society’s emergency food hamper program over the next few months.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul also hosted hundreds of people for an Easter Sunday dinner.

“We served over 730 meals to very hungry people, but very grateful people.” Society of St. Vincent de Paul President Bernie Goold says. “Lots of small families came and it’s just so nice to build capacity and community.”
