Hosts Capture Condor Classic

The Christmas break officially arrived in high school basketball Friday night with the final of the Condor’s Classic. In the championship game, the hosts from Duchess Park topped PGSS 81 – 72 in front of a boisterous crowd at Duchess Park. Both teams had reached the final of the 8-team tournament by winning their opening two games.
DP Todd won the third place showdown, topping Nechako Valley 95 – 41 while the Duchess Park Jr. Boys won the consolation side of the tournament, defeating College Heights 58 – 50. In other action yesterday, Kelly Road knocked off Corrileau 88 – 74.
The season will resume in the new year when students return to class.
