In light of a series of crashes that have taken place recently, it’s a good reminder for all drivers to slow down.

Mounties say drivers should be adjusting their speeds to the road conditions, in order to get to their destination safely.

Experts suggest that anyone who’s heading out on the highway, to make sure they prepare for the worst by ensuring their vehicle is mechanically sound and that there’s an emergency kit in the vehicle. Be sure to check your tire pressure, oil and that you have plenty of windshield wiper fluid on hand. Your emergency kit should include a blanket to keep warm and a shovel in case you need to dig yourself out of any trouble.

With all of that in mind, stay safe on the roads and happy holidays.
