ER At University Hospital Over Crowded

PRINCE GEORGE — Northern Health is asking residents to use the Emergency Room at University Hospital of Northern BC sparingly. It says the ER is extremely busy right now with what they are calling “seasonal conditions,” and are reminding people the ER is used for things like broken bones, chest pains, suspected overdoes and the like.
There are options available to those who are experiencing flu-like symptoms, starting with Health Line (8-1-1) or visit www.HealthLinkBC.ca.
There are also after-hours walk-in clinics in the city for people to access.
Northern Health is also reminding people, it is not too late to get a flu shot. Check immunizebc.ca for clinic dates.
